Arnel / Practitioner
SMP Is a paramedical hair tattoo solution for all types of hair loss including Alopecia, Thinning, and Baldness.
It can be applied to any skin tone/hair colour and it is considered one of the most effective hair loss treatments due to its guaranteed and instantaneous results.
SMP is non-surgical and best of all, it costs less than Hair Transplant (FUT/FUE) and PRP injection treatment.
The Process
Using fine micro-needles and custom blended pigments, our highly skilled SMP Technician carefully and intricately implants organic ink in the scalp resulting in an illusion similar to tiny hair follicles. Treatments vary between 2-4 sessions depending on the type of hair loss.
At MOLAVE, we can match a person's skin tone and hair colour ranging up to 40 shades of pigments.
The results are flawless and natural looking, almost undetectable. Most importantly, the result of SMP is instant and guaranteed and there's absolutely no need for down time.
At MOLAVE, our scalp micro pigmentation technique to treat hair loss is unlike any other technician in Winnipeg. That's because we strongly believe that a well-executed SMP should not change your appearance. The real transformation comes from within by improving Self-esteem, regaining Confidence, and maintaining a healthy Well-being.
Molave Aesthetics offers Scalp Micropigmentation | SMP treatment in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We operate from a fully licensed and regularly inspected business establishment so you can be sure that our procedure is Public Health Compliant.
Alopecia is one of the most common issues we deal with at Molave Aesthetics. Our Alopecia treatment produces 100% guaranteed result and in most cases, notable changes can be seen from only 1 session.
Alopecia is an autoimmune disease that attacks hair follicles and causes hair loss. While hair can be lost from any part of the body, Alopecia Areata usually affects the head and face. Hair typically falls out in small and round patches, about the size of a quarter, but in some extreme cases, a person could lose all of their hair completely, also known as Alopecia Totalis. Most people with the disease are healthy and have no other symptoms. Studies have shown that Alopecia, in some cases, is related to depression and/or stress.
Sadly, researchers do not have factual evidence of what causes the immune attack on hair follicles, but they believe that both genetic and environmental (non-genetic) factors play a role.
There are 3 main types of Alopecia:
Benefits of SMP for Alopecia
By adding density to the affected area(s), SMP creates the appearance of fuller hair. Thus, making it easier to conceal bald spots. This, ultimately, improves a person's confidence, self-esteem, and mental wellness.
SMP FOR MEN & WOMEN
Suffering from pattern baldness is very common with men and women. This type of hair loss comes in a variety of shapes affecting either the hairline or the crown area. In most cases, thinning occurs in one area gradually affecting other areas overtime.
SMP FOR MEN
In men who are having crown or hair line baldness, we usually advise clients to shave their hair down to achieve the buzz look where SMP treatments can be perfectly matched and blended through to your existing hair.
If your hair is thinning and you would like to keep the length longer without having to wear the shaved buzz look, then this is possible using SMP techniques to create the illusion of density (Density Treatment) by building up treatments and shades of micro-dots around and in-between existing hair.
SMP FOR WOMEN
Although hair loss is more noticeable in men, women are also prone to conditions that cause hair loss. They’re just better at hiding it. Most women are concerned about the lack of density of their hair. Thinning can be due to many factors. For example, Alopecia, hormone disorder or vitamin deficiency after childbirth and menopause, or simply years of pulling the hair into a ponytail (Traction Trauma Alopecia).
By adding pigments to the scalp, SMP is camouflaged with existing hair creating an illusion of fuller/dense hair (Density Treatment). Typically, this approach is done in multiple sessions in order to achieve dimension and illusion.
Using SMP technique, our 40 shade colour system, and semi-permanent pigments, we can find the proper density to add a visual improvement in the specified area.
To create density, tiny dots of the pigment are deposited between the active hairs. This creates shading on the scalp that, to the untrained eye, will be unnoticeable.
IMPORTANT:
MOLAVE Aesthetics does not perform Hair Transplant or PRP.
We ONLY provide SMP treatment to Enhance/Improve Hair Transplant and PRP.
HAIR TRANSPLANT
FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) and FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) are great and effective options to treat hair loss. However, they do require surgical procedure to extract follicular Unit/Strip (FUT) from the back of the head. It is then implanted in the area affected by hair loss. In an FUE procedure, individual follicles are extracted from the back of the head, and it is then implanted to the area affected by hair loss.
BENEFITS OF SMP for FUT/FUE
At MOLAVE, using our method of Scalp Micropigmentation, we can cover up or camouflage scars so that it blends with surrounding hair. The appearance is a well-blended cover up on scars left by hair transplant.

PRP HAIR RESTORATION
(Platelet Rich Plasma) Hair Restoration is a method in which your blood is drawn then processed to separate platelet rich plasma from poor plasma and red blood cells. Platelet rich plasma is then drawn up into a syringe and then injected into areas affected by hair loss.
BENEFITS OF SMP FOR PRP
At MOLAVE, we use our special technique to add density in areas that are not getting the full result of PRP. This is the same method we use for clients needing Hair Density work.
