What is Scar Camouflage Tattoo?

Molave Aesthetics Scar Camouflage tattoo commonly known as Scar cover up tattoo, is a non-invasive paramedical tattoo procedure that uses pigments to blend scars into the surrounding skin, making them less noticeable: Using organic pigments, a paramedical tattoo practitioner applies special blended pigments into the scar tissue to match the natural colour of the skin. The procedure can help with scars from surgeries, injuries, burns, stretch marks, and other skin irregularities. Scar camouflage tattoos are semi-permanent and will fade over time, requiring touch-ups every several years. The healing process can cause mild irritation, redness, swelling, and darkening of the treated area.

How do you cover scars?

By using traditional tattooing techniques and using special blended Pigments designed especially for matching all types of skin tones. Our practitioner uses only the best products in the market that is tried and tested by professionals.

Is this treatment suitable for all skin tones

Yes. Our special blended pigments can be customized to every need. As well as matching all 3 skin undertones (cool, neutral, warm)

Will it hurt ?

Pain level varies from Low to High depending on location of the body. However, we try our best to minimize pain by applying numbing cream before treatment and numbing spray during treatment if necessary.

How will I know when to have this treatment?

Your scar must be at least between 1-2 years old. This guarantees that the scar tissue is fully healed. When the scar lightens and all the darkened areas is diminished, this is a sign that your scar is fully healed. Booking a Free In-person consultation is highly recommended.

What to expect during and after procedure

Preparation is key when getting scar cover up. We first start cleaning the area to be tattooed and apply numbing cream. While we wait for the area to numb, we then mix colour pigments to match with your skin tone. During session, you may feel some slight tingling sensation if numbing is not adequate. Post treatment care is similar to any tattoo.

Wow long will it last

Tattoos last forever when maintained properly. However tattooing over scar tissue may require a touch up after a few years. Applying moisturizer regularly and sunscreen to protect from UV rays can prolong the vibrant appearance of tattoos. Most importantly, Staying hydrated! Our skin is alive and needs nourishment to stay healthy.

What happens when I tan?

Only your normal skin will tan and not the scar tissue.
